 Yes, believe me... I've heard all of it before-- "he wanted to wake up and become his 'alien' shitface with her, Liz meant nothing, blah blah blah. What ever. If he said he wanted to wake up now, then that literally means at *some* point something was a dream-- and I refuse to acknowledge the first, but the latter-- Tess was a dream. I mean come on! Did you see the way he woke up afterwards? (after the Tess scene?) and how he *really* didn't want to go and see her or be with her? Dude, it was a dream. I'm NOT delusional. And try to remember as much as you and Stalker love Michael, don't take offense to the above, just remember I'm a die hard dreamer.  Forever Dreaming "Do I need you.. or do you need me?" Nope, I didn't notice the way Max behaved after that night. Roswell, the fast forward button and me have a real tight relationship  I'm sure that he was confused about everything, and maybe even regretted the night (for sure after Tess told him about the baby) but I think he did feel some love for Tess, not as strong as for Liz (he said so himself!) but some...Don't worry no offense taken, but please if you want to throw something my way, let it be M&Ms, green ones if possible |

I think that he felt pity for Tess..he never loved her the way he loved Liz..
He just felt bad that Tess was waiting for him to be her destiny. Plus how easy is it too fall into someone else's arms when you are hurt? Not that I am excusing his behaviour...BTW he did act alot different to me after that night..But it may have been that I lost some faith in him as a character after that..

He didn't just feel bad for Tess. Otherwise why would he push her away all those times before? He was really cruel to her, never giving her a chance. Then he began getting to know her. In fact, he himself said that in MitC- she's always been nothing but faithful to him when he'd done nothing to deserve that.
As for everything being a dream- I could buy that if it wasn'tr for half a season. Not to mention that it's not just about him- we see stuff going on that he shouldn't even be aware of. --

I'm not sure... maybe it meant that he was waiting for Tess, because Tess and Ava were switched somehow and so thus, Ava was meant to be with Max and Tess was meant to be with Zan?
